Incredible. We won.

John over at fellow nominee Come to Find Out... left a comment on one of our recent posts, congratulating us. And that was the first news I had heard. So of course, paranoid bastard that I am, I thought, "If he's pulling my leg just to screw with my head, I'll eat his spleen." But yeah, it's official. Sorry I uh...considered eating your spleen, John. I'm sure it's a...um, fine spleen but...

Awk-ward.

Anyway, Kyle at Blogebrity liveblogged the event but didn't record the Best Kept Secret win since...well, we weren't there. I seriously considered attending but for two reasons, decided not to. One, that costs money and hey, does a shmoe who shamelessly begs for help from his readers look like the type who can just wing to Austin? I think nay.

Two, I honestly didn't think we would win.

But now that we have, I just want to thank all of our readers who actually went and voted for us. I want to thank the folks behind the Bloggies, because it's cool as hell that they do this. I want to thank our fellow nominees: Come to Find Out..., Ear Farm, Golfwidow's Ministry of Silly Walks, and The Man Who Couldn't Blog. And I want to thank my staff here at the site, because they deserve all the credit.

As for me, I'm thinking...Thai coffee, amigos. Two helpings of that and you can feel your hair grow. That's what I'm on about.

He is also the narrator and publisher of the first unabridged recording of Seneca's letters, available here. He is active on both Twitter and Facebook. (If you befriend him on Facebook, do say you came via Need Coffee.) He lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia. He hardly ever sleeps.

And While We're On The Subject...

Ha! That would have been quite the mean joke if I had done that. My spleen would have deserved being consumed.

    Congrats again!

John: Don't worry. It was just the meds talking. Um. Honest.

Thanks, Ear Farm! May we all reap traffic from this mayhem!
