King Kong, The Contest’s Dead

We’re closing out our old regime of contests. Sorry we’re so far behind, but the good news is we’ve got a new contest engine behind the scenes that should make processing these things a helluva lot easier. As we’ve done more contests, there are now thousands upon thousands upon thousands of you maniacs hitting us, and we’ve gone from a manual process to a semi-manual process and now we’ve had to go totally automatic (whenever you’re around). We’ll be running a quick test contest to put the system through its paces shortly. And then we’re going to roll out a slew of contests since we’ll be able to do more, faster, and with hopefully a slew of cooler prizes.

But first, another Version 2 contest bites the dust. And spawns winners.

The four winners of the WETA statues are:

Sonya Edgerton of Connecticut
Melanie Haneline of Indiana
Chris Hubler of New Mexico
Kent Peterson of Idaho

And the lucky grand prize winner of the signed book and the statue is…

Mark Karolkiewicz of New Hampshire

Congrats to everybody.
