RIP: Kermit Love

Kermit Love

Kermit Love was an artist who you knew even if you didn’t know you knew him. The LaChoy Dragon was one of his creations with Jim Henson and he built Big Bird and Snuffy for Sesame Street. He portrayed the live-action Willy, the hot dog vendor, on the show. He also designed the Snuggle bear. Beyond Muppets, he also did costume design work over the course of his career with Orson Welles, Jerome Robbins and George Balanchine, among others.

He passed away due to heart failure at age 91. You can find more info at the Muppet Wiki.

Thanks for everything, Kermit. Rest well.
