John Lee Hooker: His Delirious is Something Else

John Lee Hooker

John Lee Hooker performing “It Serves Me Right to Suffer” from 1969. The subtitles are bit odd, for example putting “This did this” instead of “Just dig this.” But the performance is so smooth it’s positively frictionless. Couldn’t pass this one up.

Update: Had to replace the video…this one has no subtitles, lest you think I’ve gone mad(der).

Below the break, I’ve included another of his live performances–“Hobo Blues” from 1965–as a long distance dedication to John Hodgman.
