Hollywood That Wasn’t: Dune Designs

It’s hard not to post Moebius artwork. Just because I love his stuff. But when you couple that with an array of designs he did for the unrealized movie version of Dune that pre-dated the David Lynch version–the mad one in which Salvador Dali played the emperor and Pink Floyd provided the score. And, you know, they killed it because it was going to turn into a fourteen-hour version that was positively mad.

Regardless, here’s some of the designs that Moebius (The Airtight Garage) did. If you want to read more about the versions that didn’t make it, Dune Behind the Scenes’ entire Unseen Dune section is pretty damn sweet.
