So Who Would Play Henry Sr.?

Charlton Heston in Technicolor!

The guy who did the vintage Ghost Busters trailer, YouTube user whoiseyevan, has now taken Raiders of the Lost Ark and projected it backwards in time, so that it was released in 1951. And starred Charlton Heston.

As cool as this is, it’s even more impressive when you do the comparison between this and the real Raiders trailer and check out the guy’s annotations. Then you will truly appreciate the film geekery that goes into this. I embedded that below the jump for you for your dancing and dining pleasure.

All of that being said, my question in the title still stands: who would play the Henry Sr./Sean Connery character if this franchise happened in the 50s?

  • All of these might be too young, but in order of oldest to youngest: Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Cary Grant.

Oooh, Bogie got me thinking Casablanca, which got me thinking an even better candidate: Claude Rains!
