13 Days of Xmas 2009 – Day 3: More Fun With Cartoons

Tweety Bird Christmas

Well, since the past two years for 13 Days of Xmas we’ve been focusing on cartoons (with The Grinch in 2007 and an assortment in 2008), we’re back with another assortment. The first one out of the starting gate is “A Fright Before Christmas” from 1979, the Looney Tunes starring Bugs Bunny and the Tasmanian Devil.

Update: Alas, that has been taken down. If anybody finds it again, please let me know.

From XmasFlix, the original 1948 Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, from producer Max Fleischer, and apparently this was his last film.

This version of Rudolph is available on the Very Classic Christmas collection.

And lastly, because we need some Disney in here, here’s the 1949 “Toy Tinkers” with Donald Duck and Chip and Dale.

“Toy Tinkers” was on the third volume of the Walt Disney Treasures: Chronological Donald…and it’s way expensive now that the set’s out of print. So.
