The Phenomenal Handclap Band. Great band name, excellent smooth song, supremely screwed up and subversive video that answers the question: "What if Eli Roth had been around to direct music videos for Motown?"

They actually have a show at the end of next month in New York with Gossip. They'll be appearing April 30th at Terminal 5. That track is off of their self-titled album, which is available for purchase on CD or MP3 download from Amazon.

Also, let's talk the Brazilian artist, Céu. Her second album, Vagarosa, has the following track, also with some decisive smoothness. It's "Grains de Beauté."

Don't expect much from the video, but the song works for me. So.
