Win The True Story of The 3 Little Pigs on DVD!

True Story of the 3 Little Pigs DVD

If you don’t know the children’s books created by Jon Scieszka, then you’re missing out. Twisted little bits of genius, so they are. One of the most well-known is The True Story of The 3 Little Pigs, in which you get the rest of the story. Here’s what Scholastic has to say for themselves, since they’re putting out a read-along DVD version:

Did the classic fable of the Three Little Pigs ever seem slightly biased to you? All that huffing and puffing — could one wolf really be all that unequivocally evil? Finally, we get to hear the rest of the story, straight from the wolf’s mouth in THE TRUE STORY OF THE THREE LITTLE PIGS…AND MORE ANIMAL ADVENTURES!

As Alexander T. Wolf explains it, in Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith’s zany animated adaptation of the best-selling book, the whole Big Bad Wolf thing was just a big misunderstanding. Get his wolfish perspective in the title tale which headlines this new SCHOLASTIC STORYBOOK TREASURES DVD featuring four other hilarious animal tales. Providing more than an hour of family-friendly viewing, the DVD also includes “The Pig’s Wedding” (adapted from the story written and illustrated by Helme Heine); “Wallace’s List” about a mouse who can do almost anything – as long as he has a list!; “Henry Builds a Cabin”, from the book by D.B. Johnson and narrated by James Naughton and the clever interpretation of an age-old classic “This is the House that Jack Built”, narrated by Mandy Patinkin from the book by Simms Taback.

Also featuring Scholastic’s innovative read along captioning and bonus interviews with THE TRUE STORY OF THE THREE LITTLE PIGS author Scieszka and lane Smith, this superlative – and hilarious — DVD delivers over an hour of animal hijnks!

Also providing narration are Paul Giamatti and Zach Braff, among others. Anyway, our friends at Scholastic DVD are providing three copies of the DVD. Want to win one?
