Now, this notorious fable and four more stories spring to life on a new DVD in the acclaimed SCHOLASTIC STORYBOOK TREASURES series: THE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF…AND MORE CHILDREN'S FABLES, available this November.

Featuring the title tale about the bored shepherd who alarms the townspeople one time too many (adapted from the book written by B.G. Hennessy, illustrated by Boris Kulikov, narrated by Peter Scolari), the DVD also features "Charlie Needs a Cloak" adapted from the book written and illustrated by Tomie DePaola; "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi", an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book classic, illustrated by the talented Jerry Pinkney and narrated by Michael York; "Seven Blind Mice" narrated by B.D. Wong and "Stone Soup", from the book written and illustrated by Marcia Brown and narrated by Mandy Patinkin about three clever soldiers devise a plan to get food and lodging from selfish inhabitants of a French village.
