Your Weekend Justice #104: How to Train Your Muskrat

It’s Weekend Justice: the Internet’s #1 audio trainwreck. It’s the podcast that wants to train your dragon to eat your ferret. And that’s not a euphemism. This podcast was engineered–some might say over-engineered–by experts to escort you from the work week in the most chaotic manner possible. Please note: this podcast is profane, definitely oversexed and definitely overwrought. It is wrong and unsafe. You have been warned.

    So, okay.
Based on Widge’s ebullient praise of the series, and also because Paul and Storm chatted it up, and several of my friends have sung it’s praises, I decided to give A Game of Thrones a read.
I tried when it first came out, and couldn’t get into it, and tried a couple more times between then and now, and finally [legally acquired] the audiobook.
Usually, with an audiobook, I can power through anything, and it did help. I got about 24 chapters in, and started losing interest, up until this episode, when Widge said “When you get to the Inn, if you get to the end of that chapter, and you don’t go ‘Holy shit, I’m in!’… then I don’t know what to do with you.”

So now. My question is, is this Inn in the Catelyn chapter with Tyrian, or is there another chapter later on I should be watching for?

The Inn you’re thinking of is the one.

Widge gains +2 respect points from us for not being ashamed to love My Neighbor Totoro.

Man, anyone who *doesn’t* love it should be ashamed. My glowing review of the sub-par Fox DVD is here.
