T-Shirts: The Dark Taco is Among You Now and Other News…

Taco Dinosaur from Seibei in black at last

Been meaning to post about this for a while now. If there’s one shirt I wear that people ask me where I got it and can they have one…it’s the black Taco Dinosaur from SEIBEI. You’ve probably seen it in at least a couple of Wayhomers. When I saw that shirt, many moons ago, I immediately pinged David over there and said if it was in black, I’d buy one immediately. Well, he agreed to create a one-off and I snagged it with the condition that I tell everybody, no, they can’t have one. So I dutifully told everybody, no, they can’t have one but SEIBEI has plenty of other awesome shirts and go check them out.

But deep down I knew it was just a matter of time before he came to his senses and made it part of his regular stock. Because let’s face it: the shirt’s so awesome having it in black is about the only way to improve it. So here it is. Make sure you tell him we said hi. Use NEEDCOFFEE as a code when you check out (for this shirt or any of his stuff) and get 10% off your order.

In other news, Black Taco Dinosaur is a fantastic name for a band. Enough said about that.

Why So Curious? - Threadless

In other news, I’ve been meaning to also tell you about some recent Threadless awesomeness. Quite possibly the most twisted shirt to come out of there in a long time, there’s the delightfully wrong Why So Curious? by Andy Hunt. That one they didn’t introduce too long ago and they’re already reprinting the damn thing. So.

There’s also the lovely pop culture mashup that is “‘Been There…'” by Jeremy Owen, which will appeal to two popular franchises, both neglected…one by recent activity and one gratefully with no recent activity. So there’s that.

And of course, I have enough of a thwarted inner gamer to appreciate “A Very Very Old Game” by Eduardo San Gil Rodriguez. I’m sort of amazed something like what’s depicted on that shirt hasn’t been staged at a Ren Fest somewhere.

Also, as a quick bonus: here’s in essence a behind-the-scenes featurette regarding the photography that goes on at Threadless, which has sold me on many a shirt. Don’t know about you guys. Enjoy.
