Widge Goes Off #5: A Road Trip to Missouri

By Widge - posted 05.12.11 @ 7:22 pm

Widge vs. Missouri

Last year we took a road trip to Missouri in an attempt to put together footage for a History Channel pilot. The series would have been me going around the country and explaining the fascinating true stories behind many interesting landmarks. Alas, they turned me down. But never one to waste footage, I wanted to share some snippets of what we filmed with you. Enjoy.

Perhaps, if you had said the house was removed by swamp people acting like ice road truckers, you could have sold this pilot. Or the dogs left Missouri, due to issues with pawn shop owners acting like lumberjacks (in a non Monty Python sense, that would have sealed the deal.
Wonderful stories, Mr. Walls. I hope you continue spinning these yarns.

Clearly the History Channel is run by fools. If not before, you definitely would've gotten a series greenlight from me after the prisoner segment.
