Wayhomer Review #80: Attack the Block

Attack the Block

Episode #80 for Attack the Block, in which our protagonist marvels at what ingenuity and low budget can do for creature design, struggles to explain what the hell the film is, and marvels at the find that is John Boyega. Trust.

  • Dude, My daughter and I had a great time watching Attack The Block. John Boyega had me sitting there thinking of Denzel Washington’s For Queen and Country. His body language and how carried himself in this film I knew I was watching the debut of someone special. Hopefully he’ll get more more roles. Check out the jacket for Queen and Country. That’s Moses. http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2245172480/tt0097373

  • Is a 12yo too young to go? He’s interested (he heard you talking about it ) but it sounds too gory and horror-ish, instead of sci-fi-ish.

  • I dunno…I don’t think there’s too much in the way of blood and gore, really. Death happens and blood happens but it’s not to excess. I think he would probably be fine with it.
