Happy Bloomsday, Everyone

Guinness and Mug

Well, it's still Bloomsday here in the U.S., anyway. And this mug of Guinness is my own personal celebration, since I can't be in Dublin to wander about and see the literary mayhem firsthand.

El Fitz from Cabin Fever reminded me that it was today, June 16th, which of course reminded me of this line from Ulysses:

Stephen, greeting, then all amort, followed a lubber jester, a wellkempt head, newbarbered, out of the vaulted cell into a shattering daylight of no thought.

That is, no lie, my favorite sentence in the English language. Anyway, a couple of lovely bits after the break. Enjoy.
