Neil Gaiman’s Final Book Signing Circus to Come to Town…

Neil Gaiman in doorway

Longtime readers of Need Coffee will know that we are huge fans of The Neil. So when we heard that his US book-signing tour for The Ocean at the End of the Lane was the last one he’d be doing, we were understandably distraught. But we were also determined.

Do you want to know a secret? Back in 2010, we embarked on a plan to get an exclusive interview with Neil Gaiman during his book-signing tour for the release of the 10th Anniversary Edition of American Gods (the miniseries of which is still underway and still teaching us exactly how bated a person’s breath can get). This plan was tied to forays and efforts made by individuals and entities and forces and, well… Let me put it this way: Do you remember us posting any big exclusive interview with Neil, back in 2011? No. No you don’t. Things didn’t work out, as things sometimes don’t.

But that’s okay. Because this embarking led to the building of many relationships, and the fostering of those relationships into the thing I’m about to tell you. You see, Neil recently announced the actual tour dates for this last book-signing tour, and on it this list is one Eagle Eye Book Shop, located near the heart of downtown Decatur, Georgia.

Let me put this plainly: it is my profound pleasure to announce to you that Eagle Eye Book Shop & Need Coffee Dot Com present the metro Atlanta appearance of Mr. Neil Gaiman on his Last US Book-Signing Tour for the new novel, The Ocean at the End of the Lane.

The actual signing will not take place at a the bookstore proper but rather at a secondary location–see details below–and in preparation for this event, we at Need Coffee will be offering tie-ins, reviews, happenings, and even some opportunities for those in the Atlanta Area (or those willing to travel, I guess) to win copies of The Ocean at the End of the Lane and tickets to the signing.

That’s right: Over the next two months, there will be five chances for you to win an opportunity to hear and see Mr. Neil Gaiman.
