700 Bands

The madness continues. For more information, go here.

461. Donning David.

462. Nine Ball Crash
Both of those from Bethany P.

463. The Sculpted Deer Obsession.
From the Lady Porphyre.

464. Audiomohel.
From this upcoming Weekend Justice. Unless Jon has a band up and running by the time I publish this. But even then, it's a free name, so he can turn around and use it. I would recommend that it be a Yiddish group covering Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave songs.

465. Gears 'n' Shit.
A steampunk band. Their first album is Levers 'n' Brass. This also came out of Weekend Justice.

466. View From Thanatopsis.
Named for a piece of work by Valerie Hegarty.

467. Frankenstein Conquers the Martians.

468. Sit at Innuendo.

469. Doppler Shame.

470. Hundred Acre Stare.

New band names up for grabs each Tuesday and Thursday. When we're not...doing something else. Until we hit 700.

The madness continues. For more information, go here.

451. Jessica Fletcher With a Penis.
Blame Brian.

452. Deviant Vanilla.

453. The Brine Shrimp Fuckers.
Paul says, "They're from Phoenix. Or...something."

454. Enchiladas Imminent!
Taken from Andy Diggle.

455. Dehydrated Monkey Whores.
G.G. Allin songs covered by a string quintet. Taken from Trelvix.

456. Your Lying Pants.
Taken from Leigh.

457. The Perfunctory Sexists.
From Bethany P.

458. The Hoedown of Randolph Carter.
A Lovecraft country band whose first album is called "The Stars Fell on Alabama, Along With the Green Mist."

459. The Ska Meritocracy.

460. The Discarded Christmas Trees.
The band is entirely clad in beat up Santa and elf outfits, maybe a reindeer on keyboards. They play in character as a Christmas band trying to make ends meet the rest of the year, drunk on stage half the time. They either play ska-punk Christmas tunes, or cover songs like they were ska-punk Christmas tunes. I actually really dig this idea.

New band names up for grabs each Tuesday and Thursday. When we're not...doing something else. Until we hit 700.

700 Bands

The madness continues. For more information, go here.

431. Brigands of the Future.
From Max Brooks.

432. The Circus of Death and Awesome.
From FFTimberwolf and sgsaunders. I'm thinking songs from the soundtracks of Cirque du Soleil as covered by a band that's a cross between Slipknot and The Polyphonic Spree.

433. The Nina Simone Revenge Squad.
Imagine The Gossip if all they did were Nina Simone covers.

434. Manna From Cleveland.

435. If Meat is the Answer, What is the Question?

436. The Water Buffalo Bifurcation Incident.

437. Galoshes!! Galoshes!!!.

438. Hi-Def Etch-a-Sketch.
Could cause an injunction.

439. The Empty Ice Cream Cones.
Imagine Apocalyptica covering emo tunes.

440. The Man With the Triple-Jointed Nostril.
I have no idea where this came from, I just know that it's an all-girl band involving craploads of horns. Best not to ask.

425. Len's Secret Clout.
These last two courtesy of Storm.

426. The Understated Draconians.
From Bethany P.

427. Later, Back at the Sanitarium.

428. What? No!

429. Pratchett's Army.
Ideally, a supergroup of musicians coming together to write music behind lyrics created by different fantasy writers for each song, doing charity concerts for Alzheimer's. Yeah, didn't expect me to throw something serious in here, did ya?

430. The Audience Would Like a Word With You.

New band names up for grabs each Tuesday and Thursday. When we're not...doing something else. Until we hit 700.

700 Bands

The madness continues. For more information, go here.

401. Tsar Bomb.
Amazingly, from what I can tell: not taken. Thanks to Alain.

402. Tsar La Bomba.
Richie Valens songs covered by a Russian band, sung completely in Russian. If thought completely in Russian, then we'd be in a musical version of the movie Firefox.

403. The Bottle Children of Borneo.
From here.

404. Ian Holm Syndrome.
Might cause an injunction. Just be warned.

405. The Loneliness of the First Person Shooter.
Folk songs written about fragfests.

406. Beggars Can't Be Choosers, Choosers Can't Be Steve.

407. Who Died And Made You Steve?
No idea what the Steve thing is about.

408. Thee Arrogant Marshmallows.
I dunno, it just seemed like with Thee More Shallows that we should have more bands with "Thee" weirdly put into their names. So there's mine.

409. Arena Rock for Goldfish.

410. B-Movie Concession Stand.

New band names up for grabs each Tuesday and Thursday. When we're not...doing something else. Until we hit 700.

398. Three Miles South of Profound.

399. Johnny Goldfish and the Lincoln Logs.
Because that's the story of Jesus!

400. Listen Do You! Smell Something?
It's basically Godspeed You! Black Emperor if they wrote incredibly long post-rock orchestral songs about Harold Ramis films. Doc says their first album is Yes, Have Some. Damn straight it is.

If you can imagine a mix of The Modern Jazz Quartet and The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. You can't? That's probably for the best.

375. The Trouser Gargoyles.

376. Kevin McCarthy and the You're Nexts.
