Video of butchers considering their next move plays out on displays. At least that's what they say. Me, I think the butchers are thinking, "How am I going to get to that meat with me trapped in this display? There must be a way!" Categorized as: Art

01.14.07 by Widge @ 11:12 pm Just caught this at Cartoon Brew, but apparently Hayao Miyazaki designed a 28-ton clock for Nippon Television Network... The clock, which is 12 meters tall, 18 meters wide and weighs 28 tons, was made from 1,228 copper plates, and displays 32 mechanical trick features. The clock resembles images from Miyazaki's film "Howl's Moving Castle," and at fixed intervals blacksmith dolls come out of the clock as music is played. Read the full article here, which has a pic. Unfortunately, that YouTube video (direct link for the feedreaders) doesn't show the dolls or anything. And the clock, to our knowledge, doesn't take an unwitting passerby to an alternate dimension every second Thursday at 2pm. But, well, you can't have everything. Categorized as: Art
