08.27.06 by Widge @ 6:26 am ![]() Lipton has been in Japan for a hundred years now. To celebrate the occasion, Nendo designed an installation inspired by Alice in Wonderland and the mad tea party that occurred within. The chairs, the table, the wallpaper...it's all distorted so it's just like you took a nice long drag off the caterpillar's hookah. Found at Sensory Impact by way of Boing Boing. Categorized as: Art

07.23.06 by Widge @ 2:08 am ![]() Happy Toast is a delightfully sick cavalcade of misshapen cartoony versions of DC heroes, Marvel heroes, and other things...including some lovely huggable zombies. Of course, anybody who's seen Dawn of the Dead knows what happens when you hug a zombie...right, Miguel? Thanks to Bob the Zombie for the tip. Categorized as: Art

07.22.06 by Widge @ 7:20 pm ![]() Cartoon Brew points us to a nifty host of monster images, sketches, a little bit of zombie goodness and more at the blog of artist/creator Curtis Jobling, Badablingthing. He's worked with Aardman, he designed Bob the Builder, and now he's got his own BBC production in the works, "Frankenstein's Cat." Nifty. Categorized as: Art

07.14.06 by Widge @ 6:13 pm ![]() "I don't care, lady--I'm not going to validate your freaking parking!" Joey Interactive has a nice gallery up of the works of Cedric Delsaux, where he's taken Star Wars characters and placed them in Paris. Cedric's site appears to be under construction, so for right now check them out on Joey's site here. Categorized as: Art

07.05.06 by Widge @ 2:47 am ![]() The Cool Hunter points us to something rather nifty: Diesel--yes, the clothing label--holds a contest to turn a wall on their headquarters into art. There's plenty of examples on Cool Hunter as well as in the gallery. Check out the Diesel website for more details. And yes, that's supposed to be the Pope in the picture there. Nice.
