11.01.07 by Widge @ 9:05 pm ![]() I once knew somebody who didn't believe in Halloween. Not only did she not believe in it, she thought it was Satan's holiday or some other such nonsense. She didn't even know when it was. I asked her, "So what do you do when kids come to your door?" She said, "Oh, we hand out tracks." I asked her, "Well, what if the kids don't have model trains?" Then I realized that she had actually said tracts. I also realized that she was totally loopy. Of course, if she had been giving out tracts like this one, I would probably have been more inclined to give her a chance. Now, if you're not in favor of it, just remember this. Thanks to Doc for the headsup. Categorized as: Comics

10.30.07 by Widge @ 4:43 am ![]() Prof. David Gallaher and Steve Ellis OBE are co-conspirators on a new webcomic that's blasting off shortly on the Zuda Comics website. Zuda was spawned from DC Comics, probably in an attempt to jettison any non-crap ideas onto the Web instead of actually printing them on paper. But no matter. All you need to know is that it's a western involving six-shooters and werewolves. It's called High Moon. And really, what else do you need to know? Ah, there is one thing: apparently this project is like Webcomic Thunderdome. Eight pages enter, one comic leaves. If you want to see more of High Moon you have to go to the site and vote for it. I've posted some artwork below the break for you to peruse, but for more info, they've got a blog up about the comic here. Categorized as: Comics

10.23.07 by Widge @ 1:33 pm Spider-Man's world is about to change. Marvel recently released a graphic which showed some of the potential folks who can save Spidey. You'll notice there isn't a decent writer on there anywhere. Anyway, since I know there's a lot of Marvel expats out there, you might need a refresher as to who's who in this. Needcoffee is always ready and willing to help. We've annotated the graphic as follows. Enjoy. ![]() Categorized as: Comics

10.16.07 by Widge @ 4:15 am ![]() You know, honestly, Siege pulls this stunt all the time. He'll do it to anyone. Hell, he could be doing it to you right now and you'd never even know it. How do you know that he isn't? Can you be sure? Categorized as: Comics
