Here's what they have to say for themselves: Flight Lieutenant Toby Jugg (Robert Pattinson), confined to a wheelchair after being wounded in combat, arrives at a remote mansion in Wales to recuperate. Suffering terrible nightmares and visions, he suspects the methods of his psychiatrist, Dr Hal Burns (Julian Sands). Though his beautiful aunt, Julia (Rachael Stirling), seems to be the only person he can trust - circumstances arise that cause him to doubt even her intentions. Is the lieutenant the victim of an eerie paranormal haunting or a cruel conspiracy tied to his past?

And here's what they have to say for themselves: Three Finger and his disturbed family of inbred cannibals are alive and well-fed in this terrifying, white-knuckle ride directed by Sci-Fi Channel movie veteran Declan O'Brien (Cyclops, Rock Monster). The first course for the bloodthirsty family comes when a group of campers arrive, realizing only too late that ticks aren't the only things that bite in these backwoods. But when some of the most vicious killers in the country escape into the woods from a bus transporting them to prison, Three Finger and his family may have met their match. Will justice be served on the convicted murderers or upon the mutant killers? Whatever happens, Wrong Turn 3: Left For Dead delivers one bone-crushing moment after another right to its terrifying end!

And then there are movies that tend to shriek the names of Leigh and Dindrane when you open the DVD wrapper. This is most definitely the latter--and actually Dindrane-Safe since they appear to be insects--and as we all know the eight-legged S-words are most decidedly not insects. There's going out into the world. There's family. And...there's dessert. No, seriously. It started with The Neil promising cupcakes to everybody at HarperChildren's if the book stayed on the New York Times children's bestseller list and now it's apparently snagged him a pie since it's been on the list for more than a year. And that got me thinking that this is a special occasion and very, very cool for Mr. G. Not just because of the pie--although I'm sure it shall be a damn fine pie indeed. And we should do something to celebrate. So here's the shot: it's The Graveyard Dessert Challenge. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create--yes, actually create, not just sketch up or write up a recipe--a Graveyard Book-inspired piece of dessert. Could be cupcakes. Could be pie. Could be piecakes. We care not. Just must be dessert. Let your brain go nuts. And it's on DVD from Scholastic Storybook Treasures along with five other Sendak animated shorts. They released the first season of Blood Ties back in June and here's the second season already: nine episodes across three discs. And here's what they have to say for themselves: In season two, private eye Vicki Nelson and her vampire cohort Henry Fitzroy continue to encounter esoteric cases involving paranormal occurrences. In addition to the complications of solving murders and unraveling occult mysteries, the plot thickens with the romantic tension between Nelson, Fitzroy, and Nelson’s former partner Mike Celluci. The story only gets murkier as Christina, the vampire who original gave Fitzroy that first bite 480 years ago, pops into the picture to shake up the story even further!
