Add your own. ![]() I was amazed when I ran across Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy on the web, because I didn't realize the guy could still be funny. So good for him. And now it's hitting DVD and Blu-Ray on May 12th from Fox along with new episodes that didn't make the net for a total of fifty shorts. And we've got two copies of the DVD here that we seek to give out to two of you. The way you get eligible for the giveaway: enter using the form below and enter once a day. If we draw your name, you snag one. It's just that simple. Categorized as: Contests

05.08.09 by Widge @ 4:10 am Comments on this: nada. Add your own. ![]() So for those who don't know (and those who do), Warner Brothers has started opening up the vaults and making certain titles available on an on demand basis. So you can get stuff like Doc Savage, James Caan in Countdown, Cary Grant in Crisis or Mr. Lucky, and Captain Nemo and the Underwater City. And they keep turning out new titles all the time, like the recent additions of Jackie Gleason in Soldier in the Rain, some classic Tarzan films, and the 1941 Billy the Kid. There's plenty to choose from, since there's 192 titles out there right now...and as I said, they're adding stuff all the time. So keep an eye on this website. What does this mean to you, our contest enterer person? Well, Warner Brothers was nice enough to offer up a redemption code to five winners--and each of those five winners will have their pick of the Warner Archive titles. Nice, huh? So each winner gets the Warner Archive title of their choice. Enter using the form below--and enter once a day--and if we draw your name, you're among them. And if you want to see all the titles the Warner Archive has to offer, you can find that here. Categorized as: Contests

05.07.09 by Widge @ 6:10 pm Comments on this: nada. Add your own. ![]() So did you know that there was an attempt to steal Lincoln's body from its tomb in 1876? I didn't either. But then again, I attended public schools in Alabama. Please don't hold that against me. Regardless, we've got a copy of the History Channel docu here if you'd care to attempt to win it. How do you do this? You enter using the form below and enter once a day. And if we draw your name when it's all over with, you win. Easy as that. Good luck. Categorized as: Contests

05.07.09 by Widge @ 12:05 am Comments on this: one. Add your own. ![]() You know, you might look at that picture and think...that's a helluva lot of discs. And you'd be completely right. That's fourteen discs of war documentaries from the History Channel, from The American Revolution to The Iraq War, over thirty-seven hours worth of content. That's a lot. Our friends at The History Channel threw one of these our way to give away. In reality, they handed it to us. Throwing this set, heavy as it is, is highly inadvisable. So the way you get eligible to win it is enter using the form below. You can enter once a day also. And that's the extent of it. Good luck. P.S. While you're waiting for tomorrow to get here, you can check out some reviews of war documentary DVDs we found to be of quality, like D-Day: The Total Story or The Last Days of World War II (which I really enjoyed and is actually included in this megaset--nice).
