And it's exactly what it sounds like: a series of tests that are akin to IQ tests. You don't get an IQ score, but you do get something to do while you're sitting around on a bus or plane or elsewhere and feel yourself getting stupider. We happen to have a copy here you can win if quizzing yourself is up your alley. If it is--enter! And do so everyday. Because you can. Categorized as: Contests

05.17.08 by Widge @ 9:02 pm Comments on this: 3. Add your own. The Chaos winners are Nancy Vroman of Illinois and Wes Fischer, also of Illinois. Now, we have two Region 2 contests here. I actually sent a Region 2 prize to somebody here stateside who wrote me thinking we had made a mistake. No. When you enter a contest that says REGION 2 in the title and the URL and then it says REGION 2 in the body of the contest and also PAL with links to definitions of both and says HEY, MAKE SURE you KNOW you are entering a contest for a REGION 2 prize and then you are surprised when the prize you get is REGION 2, then, with all due respect, you are an illiterate moron. Actually, that's not true--if you did that and that's all, you simply made a mistake. We all make mistakes. But then when you respond to my explanation with an insult, like it's my fault you can't read--THAT makes you an illiterate moron. So please, people: you are smart, literate, creative people. I know you are. READ what the contest says, okay? I'm not trying to put one over on anybody. I explain in the body of the post what the prize is and I make sure to mention if you're subscribing to anything by simply entering. If you ever read a contest and you are uncertain about what you're entering for--or anything else for that matter--PING ME. Thanks. So. Resident Evil winners. Normal flavored DVDs go to Simon Reid of Liverpool, England and Polly Richards of Tennessee. And the Blu-Ray flavored DVDs go to Kim Boldt of Denmark and Ron Hanway of Arizona. We'll keep creating contests and giving stuff away. You keep entering. Categorized as: Contests

05.15.08 by Widge @ 12:13 am Comments on this: nada. Add your own. Update: I've just been informed that the CD in question is actually V is for Viagra, the remix album of V is for Vagina. This is news. So I've updated the contest accordingly. Who is Puscifer? It's a musical project from Rev. Maynard, voice and psyche minister of both Tool and A Perfect Circle. Their album, V is for Vagina, is an excellent album to work by, in my opinion. The project seems to me like a wonderfully messed up cross between Mike Patton's Peeping Tom and Serj Tankian's Serart. Their latest release, V is for Viagra, is a remix album of Vagina. Well, Puscifer has sent us a copy of the CD as well as a Puscifer t-shirt. Nicer, huh? You know it. Want to win? Then enter! And you can enter once a day. Don't forget. BTW, find Puscifer's website here and MySpace here. Categorized as: Contests

05.14.08 by Widge @ 2:55 am Comments on this: one. Add your own. ![]() We love Denzel Washington. For multiple reasons. But one of the things I like about him is that he is solid. He is teflon coated. No matter how bad the movie, he shines regardless. He's been like that his whole career. And when you get him in a good movie--then watch out. Great Debaters is one of those. Genius has got it out on a two-disc special edition and you know you want to win it. Which is good--because we've got a copy for you to have a chance to do just that. So go for it. 05.13.08 by Widge @ 12:01 am Comments on this: nada. Add your own. ![]() Dame Judi! Who could possibly not like Dame Judi Dench? People gripe that she won an Oscar for something like nine minutes of screentime in Shakespeare in Love, but dammit, those were some amazing minutes. Speaking of, though, here's a lot more than nine minutes. In fact, there's nine BBC productions, three radio plays, plus bits from interviews. For the Dench fanatic, you simply can't go wrong. Well, you can go wrong, he said, always master of the terrible segue, by not entering. Why pay for this $100 set when we have three copies here? Well, obviously BBC Home Video and Warner Brothers want you to if you don't win. So we'll tell them you did, regardless...cool? Didn't think you'd mind. One entry a day! Don't miss a day! It's like a good habit you can take up for once! Categorized as: Contests

05.12.08 by Cosette @ 6:01 pm Comments on this: nada. Add your own. ![]() Did the involvement of The Brothers Wachowski sink what could have been another franchise for Warner Brothers? Or was it the fact that there were too many colors for most people, used to things being darkened down for the film adaptations? We may never know. What we do know, however, is that we've got the The Next Generation animated movie, out from Lionsgate. Three copies are here, and you can win them all. Categorized as: Contests

It lets you play as either American or British badasses ready to do battle with Those Who Threaten Our Way Of Life. It's won scads of awards for its gameplay and cinematic experience and whatnot. But what you're really interested in is this: "What does 'Game of the Year Edition' actually mean?" It means you get a token that enables you to download a variety pack of maps that would normally cost you $10 on Xbox Live. In addition to the regular game, of course. So...want to snag it? Of course you do. Enter to win. You can enter once a day, so don't miss a tick. Categorized as: Contests
