So when you've got "Guillermo Del Toro presents" in front of a movie full of creepy kids that includes the use of Scarecrow-esque masks...watch out. Here's the story: Haunting secrets of the past resurface when a child mysteriously disappears in the supernatural thriller The Orphanage, a spinetingler with a jaw-dropping twist that will take your very last breath away! Produced by Academy Award® nominated filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth) and directed by J. A. Bayona, The Orphanage arrives on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on April 22, 2008, from New Line Home Entertainment. You can check out the official site here. I'd like to point out that there have been no substantiated cases of asphyxiation related to the viewing of this film. Anyway, the DVD comes with featurettes, info on the filmmakers and more. 04.16.08 by Cosette @ 9:23 pm Comments on this: 4. Add your own. ![]() Terry Jones. If you've ever felt that history was stale and dry, then you need a good dose of his wit. He's spent a great deal of time revealing the past for what we understand it actually was, and it's sometimes quite different from what you've heard. Crusades, Barbarians, The Story of 1 and more. Great stuff. And Medieval Lives is no different. BBC Home Video has hooked us up with a couple of copies that you can win. Want to win one? Of course you do. Get to it, friends. 04.14.08 by Widge @ 10:48 pm Comments on this: one. Add your own. ![]() Okay, so...Halo 3. I've mentioned elsewhere that my experience with the Halo franchise is Bailey inviting me over to his house so I could fumble around with those arcane Xbox controllers, which to me are just an evil, highly evolved version of the fourteen buttons it used to take to play the classic arcade game, Defender. But hey, toys--I can deal with toys. So we've got a complete set of the first series of Halo 3 action figures from McFarlane Toys. We've got some pics here to whet your appetite, but for the full deal, you'll have to check out their website. But just so you know--they're pretty damn sweet. Want to win? Well, after the pics, you'll have your chance. One winner takes them all. So best get on it. Categorized as: Contests

The man whose "I Keep Forgettin'" has been the source of so much joy in my life, since I and a friend of mine tend to spontaneously perform dramatic interpretations of the lyrics in random locations and with little to no warning. We're strange people. But you knew this. Anyway, we've got five copies of the CD which you can try and win. Well, win a single copy. Let's not be greedy bastards here. And hey, if you win this, the contest ends Head on and you'll find the entry form. And a chance to sign up for Mr. McDonald's mailing list. Categorized as: Contests
