And the voice of everyone's favorite blue insectivore? Jaleel White (or Urkel, as you may remember him from that show--yeah, that show, you know the one). You can win it on DVD. Here's what their press release tells us about it: Join Sonic The Hedgehog and Tails as they defend Mobius from the evil Dr. Ivo Robotnik and his notorious gang of robots, including Scratch, Grounder and Coconuts. With heart-pounding action and knee-slapping comedy, The Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog will have you "up, over, and gone!" If the 4 disc-set with 22 episodes isn't enough, the extras on the set include:

07.27.07 by Widge @ 4:44 pm Comments on this: nada. Add your own. ![]() How do you get to Carnegie Hall? The answer is: write books, sell fifty quintillion copies, have them turned into mega-movies, and have the whole thing turned into a theme park. Practice? Bah. So yes, J.K. Rowling is going to be at Carnegie Hall on Friday, October 19th. She's going to read from Book 7, do a Q&A, and sign copies. That's nice, you say, but we're busy reading Book 7 and underlining the good bits. Why should we care? Because a thousand folks can win a pair of tickets to be there. July 30th, the contest opens up. Anybody 7 and up can enter the contest at www.scholastic.com/harrypotter. For all the details, the rest of press release follows after the jump. If you win because we pointed this out to you, send us a pic of you at the event. That's all we ask. Update: If you want a direct-direct link to the contest, go here. Thanks to Susan P. for passing that our way. Categorized as: Books andContests andHeadsup

07.14.07 by Widge @ 5:09 am Comments on this: nada. Add your own. ![]() Well, we're making history this month. The Mystery Box has been going on for years now. Each month, tons of you maniacs line up to win a box that's filled with...well, that's just it. You don't even know what you're winning. And yet...you enter anyway. Thus proving what contest-crazed whackjobs you all are. And we salute you. However, July 2007 marks the first month that we here at Needcoffee HQ have had the decision as to what goes into the Mystery Box taken out of our hands. That's right, instead, those fine madmen at Toy Vault have stepped in and sent us a box of mystery swag from their offices. Who is Toy Vault? Bah. Who is Toy Vault. The makers of fine Cthulhu plush toys, Godzilla plush toys, and tons more, that's who. Now...we're not saying what's in the box. The contents of this mystery box rest entirely in their hands. But if you win, know that you will win the Toy Vault Mystery Box, with swag handpicked from their base of operations. Anyway, just thought you'd like to know. So go enter already. And wander about the Toy Vault site once you're done, why don't you? Categorized as: Contests andToys

07.04.07 by Widge @ 6:33 pm Comments on this: nada. Add your own. ![]() Next week the new Harry Potter flick hits. July 11th. Between now and then you can win some swag. Got that? Not a lot of runway, so stay awake. What can you win? We're giving away a prize pack that consists of a theatrical poster, a teaser poster, a logo pen, a tattoo (please assume that it's a temporary tattoo even though the Warner Brothers rep didn't specify), and a tank top for women. Two other winners will snag a theatrical poster and a teaser poster. One last winner will get a theatrical poster only. So four prizes to win. But since you can only enter once a day, just eight chances to enter if you start now. So go for it. Categorized as: Contests andMovies
