10.04.08 by Widge @ 2:36 pm ![]() It's Helen Hunt's directorial debut with this, out from Image Entertainment. Along with Hunt, the cast includes Matthew Broderick, Colin Firth and Bette Midler. Here's what it's about: The story follows Alice Epner (Hunt), a New York school teacher, who is stuck in a mid-life crisis after she is abandoned by her husband and her quirky birth mother (Midler) unexpectedly reenters her life. However, after meeting the divorced father of one of her students, her life opens up in ways she had never imagined. The bonus features include commentary by director and star Helen Hunt, as well as cast interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
