Film: Written by: Peter Yeldham, based on the novel by Roger McDonald Released by: BFS Entertainment My Advice: Don't Bother Billy Mackenzie and Walter Gilchrist are best friends out in the Australian Outback. Billy is the typical bad boy: screwing around, getting into fights, and being James Dean about 40 years early. Walter is the good son: going to college, listening to his parents, and nervous around girls. Of course, both of them are attracted to the same girl, a spirited lass named Frances (Thornton). Both men feel trapped in their lives: Billy by his reputation as the baby boy and Walter by being the dutiful son. When war breaks out in Europe, both see it as an opportunity to escape and become part of something bigger. But both will find much more than they bargained for in the tranches of Gallipoli. Comments on this: none yet. Add your own. Film: Written by: Edward Bernds Released by: Dimension My Advice: Don't Bother Poor Donna Murphy (Graham). The one time she decides to have a little fun, she ends up in a stolen car with the typical 1950's leather jacket wearing "rebel" Vince (LeBlanc). Of course, when they run over someone, he bolts and she's left holding the bag. So she gets sent up the river to the McCarthy Reform School for Wayward Girls. She has to deal with a bitter manipulative warden (Seymour), a therapist who wants to get in touch with more than Donna's feelings, and experimenting with the love that dare not speak its name. But Donna has to raise above all this. She has to save her little sister from the dangers of Vince and the pervy hands of their uncle, In exchange for her help, the warden wants, nay demands that Donna must... win a track meet.
