All Ladies Do it. Diana has a wonderful relationship with her husband Paolo. So according to the rules of narrative causality, she has urges to have hot nasty sex with lots of men. All her female friends are indulging their lust and there are plenty of men to take advantage. Paolo is torn between understandable jealousy over his wife's infidelity and being turned on by his wife's slutty behavior. Can Diana have her cake and sleep with it to? Auteur Tinto Brass gives us an Italian sex comedy with plenty of la dolce vita, scandalous irreverence, and copious amount of ass. Included is an interview with the director, outtakes, a photo gallery, and filmographies of the director and the luscious star Claudia Koll. Click here to buy it from Amazon.

My Advice: Catch it on cable.

Once upon a time, there was a loveable ogre couple named Shrek (Myers) and Fiona (Diaz). They were visiting a land called Far Far Away which was ruled by Fiona's father, King Harold the Frog. Now King Harold was very sick and Fiona and Shrek were temporarily helping out with the royal duties. But being ogres, their performance of said duties left something to be desired. When at last the King hopped off this mortal lily pad, Shrek realizes that this temporary duty could become permanent. Fortunately, there's another heir to the throne, Arthur (Timberlake), currently at Worcestershire Academy high school. So with his trusty sidekicks, Donkey (Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Banderas), Shrek goes to retrieve the king-to-be. Unfortunately, Artie is a bit of a dweeb and believes the burden of being king is too heavy for his adolescent shoulders. To make matters even worse, the erstwhile Prince Charming (Everett) has gathered the villains of the land to take over the kingdom. So who will get the happy ending?

Klimt DVD cover art
The Kingdom Series 2 DVD cover art

Two DVDs to chat about here: first up, we've got Needcoffee fave John Malkovich playing painter Gustav Klimt. And you know Klimt, even if you don't know you know Klimt. Raúl Ruiz directs, and along with Malkovich you've got Saffron Burrows and Veronica Ferres playing his loves. Now, all is not balm in Gilead, since we have an edited version that leaves off a lot of necessary context (if reviews of the extended cut are to be believed). And I think the film suffers because it's a bit disjointed and I feel like I'm missing a lot here--since there's a half-hour missing. Still, fans of the artist will want to give it a rental, and Malkovich completists as well. Comes with a making-of featurette. (Click here to buy it from Amazon.)

Also, there's Lars Von Trier with The Kingdom: Series 2. Now, to explain for those who don't know--Kingdom was the basis for Kingdom Hospital, which aired as a miniseries in the states, with Stephen King backing it up. It would have gone for a second series, but King doesn't have a good track record with television, sadly (Golden Years, anyone? I weep.) Anyway, here you've got the next round of four episodes here, with a documentary, audio commentary and more. Fans of the show will want to snag this, because apparently we've lost a lot of the cast since this aired, and a third series (though planned), will probably never happen. (Click here to buy it from Amazon.
