Unique Furniture Outlet (yes, we get it) out of the UK creates these and they're the perfect thing to illuminate all of the Trek memorabilia you own...which probably started to trail off during the Voyager years. 10.27.06 by Widge @ 10:10 pm ![]() As I kick off this year's TechnoCave Halloween Film Festival, I was looking up Duane Jones' career following our #1 film, Night of the Living Dead, and I found that Kyra Schon has dedicated her website, Ghoul Next Door, to Jones. Who is Kyra Schon? She played the little girl who broke more taboos in the film than anyone else, gnawing on her dad and killing her mom with a garden trowel. Which is why I was so startled and delighted to see that she has gear for sale--including garden trowels! How freaking cool is that? Sadly, the trowels are out of stock. But there's plenty of shirts and even resin busts along with other cool Dead-related gear. Go check out her site here. A must stop for fans of the Dead saga. Categorized as: Gear

06.25.06 by Dindrane @ 9:36 pm ![]() Ever wanted your very own flamingo to hold those loose pages securely in a book? A hippo to slingshot at your annoying officemates? Or just a rhino to chew on when things get tough? Well now you can have all three and more with Kawaii Corner's Silicone Zoo Rubber Bands. Safe down to 40 below zero and up to almost 400, these animal-shaped rubberbands can be stretched, used, and stretched again, but will still return to their friendly, animalistic shapes. You know you want them! Just be sure to read the Very Important Rules for long animal life, especially #9. While you're there, check around for all kinds of other stuff to buy me. Um, I mean, to buy for yourself. Yeah. Especially Batz Maru, because "you" really, really like him. Categorized as: Gear

05.31.06 by Widge @ 9:29 pm ![]() There's badass prop replicas and then there's these replicas of Deckard's pistol from Blade Runner. To add insult to your silent cry of "Why the hell aren't I rich? I hate my life!" is the all-metal version that has lights and sounds built in. Here's a taste:
Tip of the iceberg. And too freaking sweet. The man's name is Richard Coyle, and he's got a website where he details the creation of this gun and other prop bits. Categorized as: Gear
