Bollywood Thriller: Bringing in the Noise and Funk of Forty Thousand Years
Posted on 10.19.06 by Widge @ 8:52 am

Nothing...and I mean nothing...that I watch over Halloween weekend will be able to compare to the sheer terror that was waiting for me in this Bollywood video.

That being said, I'd like somebody to do use this as the basis for an exercise video mashup. Ready, go.

Rob Zombie + Ed Wood = Excellent Double Feature
Posted on 10.06.06 by Widge @ 10:17 pm

Rob Zombie

Next Friday, it sounds like there's a treat on Turner Classic Movies. Ed Wood, one of the greatest Adverse Video directors of all time, is getting a double feature of Plan 9 From Outer Space and Bride of the Monster, both starring Bela Lugosi. The host is Rob Zombie. If you haven't seen the films, you should definitely tune in. They are a hoot and a half. I'm just fascinated to hear Zombie's take on them both. Get more info here.

And hey, Rob: nice shirt, dude.

Roz of Spaz-House, birthday girl, gave us the news.

And Now They Come to You With Open Arms...
Posted on 09.25.06 by Widge @ 12:38 am

Further proof that you can find freaking anything on the Net, here's a site devoted to nothing but B-movies in which you would spot a creature or robot or robot-creature carrying a woman in its arms.

I picked that poster out of the bunch because I just love the admonition "BRING YOUR OWN TRANQUILIZER!"

I think that should be placed on random posters just for the sheer surreality of it. "Duck Tales: The Movie! BRING YOUR OWN TRANQUILIZER!" See?

Toho Posterpalooza
Posted on 09.24.06 by Widge @ 6:04 am

Here's something pretty freaking cool: a poster gallery of all the Toho flicks from 1940 up through 2001. Pretty much any monster on here could kick the Sony Godzilla's ass.

That one we've included there is from the release of Godzilla in Poland. Nice.

Bring on October! Bring on Halloween! And bring on the DVD release of this, The Mole People!

Damn. Not available.

We'll all just have to appreciate a taste of the genius, thanks to Monstrula, who have the entire photonovel of the film posted for your dancing and dining pleasure.
