Written by: David Hayter, Michael France, James Schamus & John Turman, based on a story by Schamus, which was in turn based on the character created by Jack Kirby & Stan Lee My Advice: Wait for MST3K. Bruce Krenzler (Bana) has had a bit of a rough go at it. Apparently something happened with his birth parents, the Banners (Paul Kersey & Cara Buono)--something very, very bad. So bad that Bruce has locked the memory away--can you blame him, he was four. Still, even though he found a new family in Mrs. Krenzler (Celia Weston), all he has are fuzzy, strange nightmares of that day with his parents--both of which are now dead and gone. And he has a shellshocked, introverted nature which caused him to lose the love his life, Betty Ross (Connelly). I mean, they're still working together, but it's not what it once was. Then...unbelievably, things get worse. Not only is he faced with a review for his research (which isn't going well), but a strange man (Nolte) has shown up--who claims to be his father. He also claims to have...done things to Bruce...things which have been waiting for a reason to come to the surface. Categorized as: Movies and Reviews

Written and Directed by: The Brothers Wachowski My Advice: Don't Miss It. In the latest installment, Neo (Reeves), having recently found out that he's the savior of the human race (no pressure!), is having troubles sleeping. He keeps having dreams that his girlfriend and fellow asskicker, Trinity (Moss), is meeting her demise at the hands of Agents. Still with Morpheus (Fishburne) and now new crew member, Link (Perrineau), they're all waiting for word from the Oracle (Gloria Foster) as to what the hell it is they're supposed to do next. However, they're going to be given some trouble by a rival captain in the human resistance (Harry Lennix) and also the return of Agent Smith (Weaving), who's learned some new and deadly tricks. Written by: Michael Dougherty & Daniel P. Harris, based on a story by David Hayter, Zak Penn & Bryan Singer, which was in turn based on the comic book originally created by Stan Lee My Advice: Matinee. Picking up a short time after the first film left off, we find Wolverine (Jackman) trying to figure out his past. We also find a certain fuzzy blue teleporter (Alan Cumming) trying to off the President (Cotter Smith). Freaked--well, wouldn't you be?--the POTUS authorizes William Stryker (Cox) to put certain plans to action to eliminate the mutant threat. And what he sets in motion will be so bad, it will involve a bold raid on the Xavier School, and force Magneto (McKellen) and his crony, Mystique (Rebecca Romijn-Stamos), to join forces with the X-Men. Written by: Cooper Layne & John Rogers My Advice: Matinee. The Earth is dying. A strange unexplained shift in the rotation of the earth's liquid outer core--which is different from the inner core, but still at the core--is causing havoc for the inhabitants of the surface world. That's us, for those of you following along at home. So what is a team of brilliant scientist backed by all the industrial nations of the world and the might of the U.S. military going to do? Yep, you guessed it. Save six billion people. I only say it like that because rarely in the movie did they say "save the world." It was usually save six billion people, with utterly no regard for the twenty-four million domesticated dogs in the world, or cats, bats, lowland water buffaloes or any other species of life on the planet. But I'm just being picky; back to the movie. Categorized as: Movies and Reviews

Written by: Brian Helgeland & Mark Steven Johnson, based on characters created by Bill Everett, Stan Lee & Frank Miller My Advice: Wait for cable. Matt Murdock (in the older version, played by Affleck) was a good kid. His dad, Jack (David Keith), is a mildly washed up boxer who doesn't want it to be known to his son that he's working for a local hood. When an accident blinds Matt, Jack decides to straighten up and start kicking ass again--a decision that ultimately leaves Matt alone. But he's not really alone--and he's not really blind, of a sort. You see, what blinded him was some biohazardous goop that also jacked up his other senses like you wouldn't believe. He's able to, with his other four senses, create a picture of the world around him that enables him to be even better than before. He decides to put on some tights (and a dog collar, apparently) and go out into the world and kick ass--as Daredevil. Categorized as: Movies and Reviews
