08.18.06 by Widge @ 3:04 am ![]() Yeah, I know everybody's already reporting this, but hell. Johnny Depp's Todd and Tim Burton's in the chair. Can Depp sing? If he can, then I'm not worried about him in the least. As for Burton, as long as we've got the Big Fish and Ed Wood Burton and not the Apes or Sleepy Hollow Burton, then I think we're in good shape. My review of the kickass current revival on Broadway is here. Categorized as: Movies and Stimuli

08.05.06 by Widge @ 8:40 pm ![]() Very cool: Mark Evanier gives us the headsup that the original silent version of Harold Lloyd's Welcome Danger is going to be screened publicly for the first time on September 15th. No doubt it will find its way to DVD sometime afterwards. For the full story of why there are two versions of the film, check out Evanier's site. Categorized as: Movies and Stimuli

07.22.06 by Widge @ 6:38 pm A classic bit of Marx Brothers musical goodness from A Night in Casablanca. All that bouncing up and down has got to be great for rhythm, I would think, and bad for the old keister.
Update: Video was removed but is available (unembeddable) here. Categorized as: Movies and Stimuli

07.19.06 by Widge @ 5:36 pm In the biggest crossover since Superman fought Muhammad Ali and Jerry Reed helped out the Scooby Gang, Master Shake, star of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, enters the InActionViewAskewniverse and shills for Clerks 2. And for a reasonable price, as I understand it. Categorized as: Movies and Stimuli
