Your Weekend Justice for July 11, 2008: A Shining New Era Begins!
Posted on 07.11.08 by Widge @ 4:09 am

We're back. And this is two podcasts in one. The second one is not for the easily offended. And not even the really hard to offend. And not even for rocks and trees. You were warned.

Agenda:

  • Benji
  • Scott is hands-free
  • The Red Dawn remake
  • Talk about Doctor Who
  • Even more talk about Doctor Who
  • Widge gets bitched at for not talking about Doctor Who
  • The cast of Torchwood is relatively well liked, but the series is still spit upon--sort of like "We love the country but we can't stand the scene"
  • Destroying worlds at DragonCon
  • Brit Media plans
  • Someone thinks
  • Iron Lung Lear
  • Scott and his hands-free makes the baby Jesus cry
  • The twenty minute wrap-up
  • The show ends
  • The show keeps going
  • Dick Mumbles: The Saga Begins

Of course, special thanks go out to Clutch for letting us use their absolutely badass song, "Promoter (of earthbound causes)" as our theme music for this.

Buy Blast Tyrant, which is where you can find "Promoter". Buy their latest album, From Beale Street to Oblivion. Send them love and coin.

BTW, you iTunes subscriber types can nab this feed here.

Or if you want to do something else with it, the feed feed is here.

Nuts on the Road, Episode 5: Dan Brown Wept
Posted on 07.03.08 by Widge @ 5:18 am
Needcoffee Podcasts

Ken Plume from Quick Stop Entertainment and I spend a lot of time on the phone. We have conversations that make very little sense. Then one day, I decided that we should harness our powers to turn back time, if we could find a way. But Ken would hear none of it and instead he insisted we harness our powers for this somewhat battered podcast (since this is now the fifth episode), entitled "Nuts on the Road."

Just remember...you've been warned. Repeatedly.

Discussed: Harmonicas. Double harmonicas. Bass harmonicas. Mental steel drums. Gangs. The Grand Conspiracy. The Vatican. The Templars. Vampires. Really terrible accents. Pasta. Really terrible pasta. Singing.

Ken Plume from Quick Stop Entertainment and I spend a lot of time on the phone. We have conversations that make very little sense. Then one day, I decided that we should harness our powers to keep the hot side hot and keep the cool side cool. But Ken would hear none of it and instead he insisted we harness our powers for this somewhat worn already podcast (since this is now the fourth episode), entitled "Nuts on the Road."

Just remember...you've been warned. Repeatedly.

Discussed: Magic. Boxers. Briefs. Monkeys. The iPod Challenge. Editing. The destruction of cherished childhood memories, all of them yours.

Nuts on the Road, Episode 3: Ken and Widge vs. The Psychic Vampires

Ken Plume from Quick Stop Entertainment and I spend a lot of time on the phone. We have conversations that make very little sense. Then one day, I decided that we should harness our powers to invent not the chicken, but instead the chicken sandwich. But Ken would hear none of it and instead he insisted we harness our powers for this not as shiny as it was initially podcast (since this is now the third episode), entitled "Nuts on the Road."

Just remember...you've been warned. And if you were already warned, you are now doubly so.

Discussed: The creation of the Official Nuts on the Road Shitlist; Ken's affections for beef stew; Widge's affections for pizza; thin crust vs. not; singing in a round; why Widge is an escapee from an 80s cartoon. And more. But yet, less.
