Inoue is also the creator of the mega-hit masterpieces Slam Dunk and Vagabond. Event attendees got a sneak peek at original wall art in the Kinokuniya store illustrated by the artist featuring some of his best-known characters. The Real series is scheduled to debut July 2008 and is the third manga series created by Takehiko Inoue set to be released by VIZ Media. The company plans to debut his long-awaited Slam Dunk basketball series, Rated T for Teens, in September 2008 and VIZ Media will also publish a pair of beautifully illustrated art books; Sumi and Water. 11.24.07 by Widge @ 10:18 pm Trying this...if it makes it to the regular feed, my apologies Cirque du Soleil Comes to the Heart of Hollywood With a Show About the History of the Movies LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- CIRQUE DU SOLEIL and CIM GROUP announced today that Cirque du Soleil will open a major new show at Kodak Theatre, home of the Academy Awards(R), in 2010. The $100 million production is the centerpiece of a 10-year agreement between the two companies. A cast of 75 performing artists will present the show in the 3,400-seat theatre 368 times a year, and while few details about the production's content are available now, Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte announced that it would focus on Hollywood's place in the history of cinema. "Hollywood movies are important in so many ways, artistically, culturally and socially," Laliberte noted. "They don't just entertain, they inform, inspire and move audiences all around the world.
