01.15.07 by Widge @ 5:57 am Sadly, no, these aren't true Monarch Underoos. Partly because they're not really Underoos ("The closest you'll find," says the guy behind the auction) and partly because they're total bootlegs. If you want them, grab them and the other Venture Bros. clothing the guy has up for sale before he gets shut down. (Update: Obviously if you're reading this in the present day, the auction is long gone.) Why Adult Swim isn't making their own Venture gear I have no clue. And it just goes to show that for merchandising, somebody over there in the chain at Cartoon Network has no clue either. C'est la guerre. Categorized as: Shirts

10.05.06 by Widge @ 5:12 pm ![]() The Lady Porphyre points out that Giant Robot has a most excellent shirt for Robert Anton Wilson (showing here), of which a solid $10 goes to RAW to help him out. In fact, Boing Boing posted an update that blows my mind and the minds of others here at Needcoffee HQ. Here's a snippet:
What blows our mind is not that he has enough coin now to be able to stay in his home, what blows our mind is that he's actually surprised that the community at large would rise up to watch his back. He means a great deal to all of us. I hope now he realizes how much. Thanks to everybody who helped out. Please continue to do so. Check the Boing Boing link here for info on how to donate. 08.06.06 by Widge @ 5:53 pm ![]() Okay, I think it's no secret that we're addicted to cool, wicked, funny T-shirts. No, really. We could stop if we wanted to, though. Honest. So it's with mixed feelings that we heard about Go Ape Shirts, where they meet all the three criteria above. We cringe, then we get this smile on our face, and our wallet starts sobbing in the corner. But oh well. C'est la guerre. Seriously, check out the image there. Kevin Ross' "Elliot's New Friend" is pure pop culture mashup genius. (And it's on black!) Check out the kaiju-esque goodness of Henrique Lima's "Battle!" And the first shirt I saw from these guys that made me snort coffee all over my laptop: Dave Horowitz' "Boo-Boo Walker." It's all good, though. And reasonably priced at $18 a shot. They're sick and they deserve your coin. Categorized as: Shirts

07.26.06 by Widge @ 1:41 am ![]() Possibly the coolest t-shirt I have ever, ever seen. I can't tell if I'm crying because it doesn't come in black or crying because I can't stop freaking laughing. Find it and buy it here. Categorized as: Shirts

06.25.06 by Widge @ 4:06 pm ![]() Binky the Doormat clued us into a zombie-related t-shirt. And, well, you know us and zombies. As you can see, it's a would-be jersey for the Intramural Zombie Hunting League. Which is one thing. But something must be special, you're saying to yourself. After all, it's not black, is it? But the reason it's not black is because you can customize the level of gore you want on the shirt. They take "special requests," too. Please excuse me whilst I geekgasm. If that wasn't enough, though, the Seibei blog on that site reports they're upgrading the design to include custom numbers and "player names." Now I think I'm just going to freaking faint. If you want the original (which I'm sorely tempted to go ahead and snag), snag it here. And check out their other designs as well. I'm sure many on this site will appreciate "Kitten Apocalypse". 06.08.06 by Widge @ 3:17 pm Richard Matheson's I Am Legend. Stephen King has gone on record as saying it's his favorite novel. You should read it before the terrible film adaptation comes out starring Will Smith. Basically the setup is there's one guy left on the planet...and everybody else is a vampire that wants him dead. Why has this not been made into a game, I have no idea. It has, though, been made into a shirt submission on Threadless. If you want it, better go vote for it. It's black, so I'm good for it. 05.07.06 by Widge @ 3:09 am ![]() Check out these awesome retro video game shirts from Chunk in the UK. Best reason to wear these: when some young whippersnapper goes, "What the hell is that on your shirt?"...you can feel completely and utterly justified in smacking them with a tire iron. We're not advocating this and we won't pay your bail or even accept your one phone call when you try to reach us, but we will sympathize with you. Found at Wonderland by way of Boing Boing. 04.09.06 by Widge @ 8:48 pm ![]() There are people in this world that you wish you could say "Mark All as Spam" and delete. You know it. I know it. Now show it. Our brand new You Are Comment Spam on the Blog of Life shirts. And since Easter is just about upon us, don't forget there's nothing that says springtime like a bunny with a knife. 03.25.06 by Widge @ 7:03 pm Ironic Sans has one of the best ideas in the history of ideas. Rather than make reality TV producers go to all the trouble to pixellate out the brand names and such on your clothing...
A CafePress store is there to provide you with the necessary swag. Pure. Genius. I may have to get the black one just to screw with people's heads. Categorized as: Shirts
