05.25.09 by Widge @ 5:17 pm ![]() Even though the shirt isn't black, I must commend the creator of "Franklinstein," Mikey Hester. Because the notion of Benjamin Franklin becoming the protagonist of an alternate history/Mary Shelley mashup sounds fantastic to me, in the same vein that I adored the notion of Abraham Lincoln, Zombie Hunter. I'm sure somebody must have done that already, right? Also, as a recommendation for future reprints of this design: put it on black and have the electrical bits and the kite glow in the dark. You can snag this design here. And of course the main Threadless site is here. Categorized as: Shirts

04.27.09 by Widge @ 6:33 pm ![]() So I meant to bring this up last week but got a bit behind (no, really?) with things and it slipped my sieve-like mind. And this week...well, the Threadless harvest wasn't my favorite. But this I think we can all get behind, despite the fact it's a little too colorful for my tastes--it is still black and zombies are involved. So that makes it a winner for somebody. Also, it brings a serious issue to light: unicorns and Bigfoot. Who is watching out for them? When was the last time somebody PETA protested hunting season on unicorns? (Although somebody should show up at a PETA rally promoting the conservation of fictional animals, come to think of it--that would be fantastic.) Ahem. Where was I? Oh yes. Especially unicorns, as they can't escape as easily as, say, the Bigfoot in this commercial: Categorized as: Shirts

03.25.09 by Widge @ 1:34 pm ![]() Last Exit to Nowhere--we've discussed them before. They make badass shirts around fictional products, places and companies. The fact I have no money--we've discussed that before as well. These two things, when brought together...can be pretty goddamn dangerous. So when ScottC sent me the link to this and I saw "Central Services" in the URL...my mind said, "Don't be black don't be black don't be--OH! You BASTARDS!" Because the movie Brazil is just fantastic. And because black is the one color that will suit...my individual taste. So. I'm buying mine today...you too can succumb by clicking here. Tell them we said hi. And that we think they're bastards...but we say that with all love and respect. Categorized as: Shirts

03.18.09 by Widge @ 3:05 am ![]() That's right, Threadless is having a "spring cleaning" sale that means a lot of their stuff is $5. The feeding frenzy is well under way, so I would say go now before you miss out on some great deals. Here's a tip: stock up on the kiddie sizes for the munchkins in your life. Good luck. 03.17.09 by ScottC @ 8:01 am ![]() Usually Last Exit To Nowhere has t-shirts with corporate logos and vacation locales. Their latest offering, however, is for a civic organization, the Sanford Neighbourhood Watch Alliance. The Neighbourhood Watch Alliance or NWA has been instrumental for keeping Sanford's crime rate to one of the lowest in Britain. Indeed, there hasn't been a murder in over twenty years. The NWA membership brings together local law enforcement with Inspector Frank Butterman, local retailers like supermarket manager Simon Skinner, and other local civic leaders like Rev. Philip Shooter is a cabal to ensure that Sanford stays perfect by any means necessary. It is through the aggressive and proactive efforts of the NWA that Sanford has held the title of Village of the Year for so long. I'm sure that the transfer of Police Constable Nicholas Angel from the London Metropolitan Police will only improve the quality of life in Sanford. Categorized as: Shirts
