08.07.08 by Widge @ 11:50 am ![]() I get asked about the black shirts on Cafepress on two occasions. First, when somebody sees me wearing mine out in public. I figure I might as well; I'm big enough to be a damn billboard, should just go ahead and take advantage. Second, when somebody goes to the Cafepress site and wants to know just how they look. Well, admittedly, when they first started the white on black shirts, their process wasn't, shall we say, matured. But I just ordered two more and here they are up there--stark white logo on a black background. That, to me, is tasty. And look--they even come all folded up like a little black burrito with a paper wrap around them. And I understand they come that way--at no extra charge. Wow. If you want to snag some stuff with the Needcoffee logo on it, feel free. We even have shirts that aren't black, if, you know, you're one of those color-wearing types. If I am greeted by anybody wearing Needcoffee gear of any sort at DragonCon, I will hand you something out of Widge's Magic Prize Bag. Could be a DVD, could be a book, could be a frozen ham. You never know what you will get from the Magic Prize Bag. This deal is good each day until I run out of prizes in the bag. Categorized as: Shirts

08.04.08 by Widge @ 4:58 pm ![]() The latest t-shirt design to catch our eye over at Threadless is "The Future in the Past" by Yoshi Andrian Amtha. The gold bits are gold foil on the shirt. Looks like a winner for any turntablist who likes to go extremely old school. Find it and other Threadless goodness for sale here. And incidentally, when I tried to go see if somebody had done something like this for real...I found the video included below the break. Categorized as: Shirts

07.29.08 by Widge @ 3:12 am We would be woefully remiss if we didn't bring up our favorite Threadless shirt from this week: "Coffee Cloud." Coffee beans hanging out in a mug of coffee while the glorious steam erupting and going skyward provides lift to another bean using either a parachute or a graham cracker (hard to say). Damn shame it's not available in black, but then again you'd lose some of the stain effect. I'm the bean in the lower left, mug in hand and pontificating with no one paying any mind. You can snag your own here. P.S. This kaiju bunny shirt from Apelad over at Shirt.Woot is quite good, too. Categorized as: Shirts

07.21.08 by Widge @ 10:52 pm ![]() While I didn't see anything this week that cranked my tractor on the Threadless newsletter, I did get reminded of one from last week that I had meant to share. It's just perfect for a Monday and really needs to sellout soon so they can reprint it on black. It's entitled "Fail," and it's got that cathartic mixture of cute and depressing that we all need in our lives. Or maybe it's just me and these meds aren't worth a damn. Check the full thing out here. Categorized as: Shirts

07.07.08 by Widge @ 9:28 pm ![]() What do I find in my inbox after we post a bit on Godzilla father Eiji Tsuburaya? A most excellent and ridiculously cute monster in training on a Threadless shirt. I actually think that Kaiju Babies would make for a hilarious series. Li'l Godzilla, Angie Irus (with pigtails), Larvra, Prince Ghidorah, Rodie, Prince Caesar, and Li'l Mechagodzilla. "Oh dear, they're tearing up the nursery. Again." Categorized as: Shirts
