03.09.09 by Widge @ 1:00 pm ![]() Another week, another round of cool stuff from Threadless. While the skull dipped in chocolate was nice, and indeed, the ice cream dispensing vehicle run by mildly sinister snowmen was also good (and black), I think we've got to go with the lightsaber-toothed tiger shown here. As I discussed with Dindrane, the lightsabers ensure he can eat cooked meat if he feels like it, which, Dindrane was quick to point out, would cut down considerably on parasite meds. A quick idea for an updated version of the shirt: print it on black and let the glowy bits actually glow in the dark. Even without that, we dig it. But I was serious about the "on black" part. Thanks. Categorized as: Shirts

02.24.09 by Widge @ 3:29 am ![]() Yes, of course: every plan looks simple before it's executed. Such is the case here. Only when you're there and the enemy is crouching down and moving across one axis behind its crumbling shieldage does reality kick in and the plan go right to hell. So many colorful marching aliens would perish before it was all said and done. Such a senseless waste of pixel life. I have to admit, the retro geek in me wants this, despite all those pesky colors. If you want it, snag it from Threadless here. Categorized as: Shirts

02.09.09 by Widge @ 9:17 pm ![]() It's like Snuffleupagus' older brother is getting ready to kick your ass, isn't it? I just love the seriousness. Coupled with the tiny hat. It's "Woolly Woolly" by Edward Pincombe from Threadless' latest array of new tees. That's not the only reason I wanted to give you the headsup: Threadless is doing that sale thing again. This time, because Valentine's Day is hurtling towards us like a thing that is hurtling very fast indeed, they've got girly tees starting at $9. Which is sexual discrimination, but fine. Some of the perennials are at the $9 level like What Would Macgyver Do?, Stabby McKnife, and one that is near and dear to our hearts around here: Best Mime Ever. As always, Threadless sales blow their inventory out of the water. So get up on it. Categorized as: Shirts

01.27.09 by Widge @ 4:33 am Apparently Threadless ran a deal where they were trying to get five thousand more fans on Facebook--and they succeeded. So now they reward the faithful by taking a slew of t-shirts and hacking three dollars off the price. This offer is good through Wednesday, January 28th. While this isn't a crazy $5 or $10 tee sale, granted it is still a good chance to get a Valentine's Gift if you haven't already... Me, I'm partial to the Runnin' Rhino pictured. (Even though it's on blue.) As I think most of us can relate to it: horny and wanting to look better than we do. Yes, I went there. Find the sale by going to the Threadless site and clicking the banner. Tell em we said hi. Categorized as: Shirts

01.18.09 by Widge @ 2:36 pm ![]() Following under our general guidelines that "if it's undead and bleeds, it leads," we knew we had to tell you about the zombie marathon shirt from J!nx, "28Ks Later." It's like a cross between rage zombies and Fun Dead, no? Then I thought we should post some other shirts, but honestly I couldn't really find a lot that cranked my tractor. Except for the additional one, "Hands Up" from Chunk, which is essentially Quentin Tarantino remaking Snow White. Which, honestly, I'm fine with. Found via I Love Your T-Shirt. As always, if you go visit these places, make sure you tell them we said hi. Categorized as: Shirts
