Satan feels embarrassed

Another Friday, another barrage of bits to help keep your mind going long enough to make it to the weekend. You're welcome.

The second round of Hail Discardia! has kicked off with new players, new cards, new challenges and the same old mayhem. It's only beginning to take speed.

Also, if you haven't entered the slew of new contests yet, do so.

In other Gabfest shenanigans, we have the most disturbing video you'll ever see, classic art starring monkeys (and a squid), a heartwarming look at how mankind might meet its end, why (as our Holy Father has pointed out), your tat may need revising, the latest freakshow in Florida, and, for all you obscenity-concerned tourists, where not to go to find a giant ice schlong.

There you have it. Now to your scattered bodies go.

Hudson flips out

Contests and more contests are the big thing we have going on. So if you haven't signed up, feel free to do so. But just do it once, okay? Good God, like Paul [last name withheld]...you didn't think we wouldn't catch you and your fifteen entries and delete fourteen of them? Who do you think you're playing with here, huh? We're caffeinated. Don't screw with us.

There's also the Schism between ourselves at the Catholic Church, headed up by Pope Hieronymous I and his staff, among them Gangsta Cardinal G Unidentified Madman. So we're all going to hell not just for that...but also the fine Pope H gear we have in our CafePress store.

Oh, and we had an official announcement for something a lot of people had been asking about.

And the first Hail Discordia/Discardia game came to a close with Doc's memorable play of a Private Hudson card.

As for Gabfest tomfoolery, we'd like to draw your attention to Dionne Warwick's latest web presence, the deathmatch we've all been waiting for, a serious (okay, no) discussion of the size of God, why the Left Behind books are secretly hilarious, the non-demise of Loonatics, and toys that hit way too close to home for a lot of us.

Oh, and finally on a more serious note: a thread on a topic that affects us all: bologna legalization.

That's it. You're welcome.

SCHISM!
Posted on 04.24.05 by Widge @ 7:11 am

Now that Benedict XVI has been installed as the new Pope in Rome, our very own Heironymous, a serious contender for the papacy, has responded. In a move that's been coming for some time, Needcoffee.com has decided to break from the Catholic Church (which is pretty easy, I don't think any of us are actually Catholic) and set up Heironymous as Pope Heironymous I.

Now, since we figure by just coming to this site you're going to be excommunicated anyway, why don't you celebrate your hellbound state by visiting our new H Gear HQ section of our Cafepress Extreme Store. Buy some of our "Take and Drink" gear if you want a double whammy from the Almighty.

God Bless.

Sweet Stash of Disneyland MP3s

Album cover art for Disneyland: The First Fifty Years

There is a sweet 13-CD virtual boxed set of Disneyland audio goodness now online. Boing Boing pointed this out (originally found on The Disney Blog), and also mention that if you just use the links as is, it'll pop up in a nasty Java bit.

Update: Oh, well, hell: somebody with more time on their hands than us has reformatted the page so that it will let you grab the stuff directly. He missed a couple, but that'll probably be fixed shortly. Idle hands makes for a bad teen horror movie, as I always say.

And I say grab em while you can, because when Jim Hill and David Koenig can get shown the door of a Disney park, you just know Lord Mouse is going to step on these folks.
