03.13.07 by HTQ4 @ 12:58 am Film: Series Created by: Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran Features:
Released by: Fox. My Advice: Own it. Jack Bauer (Sutherland) has been out of the counter-terrorist business for about a year now. He got out of said business because one of his fellow agents killed his wife while he was trying to save president Palmer's (Haysbert) life. Well, this particular morning, the NSA has uncovered a plot to detonate a nuclear bomb over Los Angeles sometime before the end of the day. Jack Bauer's life gets a lot more complicated when the president requests that he be re-activated as an agent to head up the field work for this investigation. Categorized as: Reviews and TV

03.06.07 by Widge @ 1:21 am Classic anarchy, courtesy of Moe and The Mike Douglas Show. For those who only know The Stooges from their shorts: enjoy. Update: Sadly, that link has been taken down...but here's another appearance by Moe on Mike Douglas where they call back to that previous show. And it's fantastic. But not embeddable. 03.04.07 by Widge @ 1:20 am Even though apparently Ronson Lighters aren't around anymore (from what I can tell), I have this terrifying suspicion after seeing this that Karloff will rise from the grave to come after me because I don't own one. Regardless: eat this, Geico cavemen. Categorized as: TV

03.03.07 by Widge @ 9:07 pm ![]() Okay, it's official: television is so desperate that they're willing to stretch a sixty second gag into a sitcom. Best Week Ever reports that ABC is going to have a new series based around the idea of cavemen in the modern world trying to overcome prejudice and just get through the day. While this sounds dumb as six hells, it could have been worse: just be glad nobody thought of doing this with those freaking Chick-Fil-A cows... Categorized as: Headsup and TV

01.22.07 by Widge @ 12:59 pm Ken sent this to me at some point during this past weekend, when I was in a huge NyQuil haze. Oddly, while under chemical influences, this reminded me a lot of the math classes I took during middle school. Now that the haze has cleared...it still reminds me a lot of the math classes I took during middle school. Categorized as: TV

12.12.06 by Widge @ 6:26 pm And you thought the current incarnation of Ronald was frightening. The original, portrayed here by Willard Scott, makes the scary stoned-faced Burger King of today look like the Shmoo. Found via VideoSift. The VideoSifter's comment about the "magic food-conjuring crotch tray" is right on the money. Categorized as: TV

11.10.06 by Widge @ 6:38 am ![]() Sloshing through the swamp of pop culture so you don't have to. We bring you ideas for how to waste your weekend. Of course, special thanks go out to Clutch for letting me use their absolutely badass song, "Promoter (of earthbound causes)" as my theme music for this. Buy Blast Tyrant, which is where you can find "Promoter". Buy their latest album, Pitchforks and Lost Needles. Send them love and coin. BTW, you iTunes subscriber types can nab this feed here.
