04.21.05 by Cosette @ 2:42 am Film: Created by Richard Levinson & William Link Features:
Released by: Universal My Advice: If you're a fan of the series, go ahead and get it. Otherwise, just watch a rerun on the Hallmark channel. Everyone is familiar with Lieutenant Columbo (Falk), the unorthodox, cigar-chomping, trenchcoat-clad detective. Whether he's talking about his ubiquitously absent wife or commenting to a suspect, "Oh, just one more thing…" you can always hear the wheels turning in his head as he noodles out the mystery in front of him. The second season, set in LA in 1972, is just as packed with guest stars as season one, including Leonard Nimoy, Valerie Harper, and Robert Stack. Categorized as: DVD and Reviews and TV

04.15.05 by ScottC @ 10:32 pm Film: Series Created by Stanley Ralph Ross based on the comic book characters created by William M. Marston Features:
Released by: Warner Brothers. My Advice: Rent it. ![]() The call to defend liberty rang out during the Second World War. Ordinary men and women answered that call to fight the rampaging armies of the evil Axis Powers. Even those who were extraordinary answered. Yes, I'm talking about the Maiden of Might, the Amazing Amazon, Wonder Woman! She has left the safety and beauty of her secret home, Paradise Island, in order to kick some Nazi butt. Assuming the secret identity of Yeoman Diana Prince (Carter), she works for Major Steve Trevor (Waggoner) in Army Intelligence. But when trouble threatens, she spins into action with her great strength, bulletproof bracelets, and her magic lasso of truth. So spies, saboteurs, and schemers beware, because Wonder Woman is here. 04.14.05 by Widge @ 11:42 pm Jeff Jarvis' Buzz Machine has provided us a nice little link for a survey. The Parents Television Council (PTC), those same kind folks who think that you have a little bit too much freedom when it comes to what can and can't be sent out over the airwaves and want the government to cut the balls off your cable, want to create a PTC seal of approval. Go. Fill out their survey. Do NOT behave like assholes, because that's exactly what they would want you to do. But answer the questions truthfully. Rest assured that they will ignore you when you, like I did, list Penn & Teller: Bullshit as being among your favorite shows. But I'll track how many folks we get to go over there. And let's just see what happens, shall we? Again. Behave yourselves. But do that thing. Categorized as: TV

Still recovering from the death of a female sandbagger he became close with, he loses another during a mission. That makes four in less than two years. Then his former father in law, Sir Geoffrey Wellingham (MacNaughtan), is kidnapped, one of his sandbaggers, Willie Caine (Lonnen), is involved in a terrorist airplane hijacking, his other sandbagger, Mike Wallace (Cashman), is investigated for blowing a defection, a cabinet minister is discovered to be a Russian spy, his secretary is quitting, and his new boss could be the obsequious deputy chief Peele or someone who won't condone Burnside not playing by the book. Burnside is going to have to use all his guile, ruthlessness, and skill to protect the country and more important, protect his department. Categorized as: DVD and Reviews and TV
