Powers #8 from Marvel/Icon. Brian Michael Bendis (Writer); Mike Avon Oeming (Artist); Peter Pantazis (Colorist); Ken Bruzenak (Letterer). Behold: the latest holdout against Bendis' ongoing meltdown. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but he's just stretched too thin and doing projects that don't play to his strengths. Here, though, he's in his element and we can only hope it keeps being so strong. This is because the book is now back to being the cops on the street dealing with powers, as opposed to the world-shaking events we've seen recently. And hey, I love using the planet as a maraca as much as the next guy, but the Blackguard character selling off his power, the replacement getting killed, and the source of said power going missing...all the while Deana's freaking because of her own new power...yeah, that's the good stuff.
