DreamCon 2004 - Day 1

Friday, June 11

The Needcoffee Crew hopped on our underground bullet train from Coast City to Iowa, then piled in a car to head to Jacksonville, Florida for the inaugural year of DreamCon--yup, they invited us to come down, the whackos. So we obliged, and ran in the door in barely enough time to make our first panel, our ongoing Con feature, "Make the Bad Man Stop," a tale of Hollywood insanity.

Here we see Widge introducing Ken's contribution to the Needcoffee mythos: the official Doc Ezra totem, which Sideshow Collectibles sells on their website. By the way, buy your Doc Ezra totem here.

This is ScottC, demonstrating Jazz Hands.

Behold! The Mirror Universe Ken!

The prize parade begins! Here we're giving away a pair of items from our buddies at Viper Comics: it's a copy of the first Dead@17 collection and a Dead@17 t-shirt as well.

Here a lucky winner takes away a copy of Kaiju Big Battel: A Practical Guide to Giant City-Crushing Monsters, the definitive guide to all things Kaiju. Or at least he will, once Widge quits evangelizing about giant monsters wrestling.

Speaking of Kaiju...what the hell is this? Stickers proseltyzing the evil Dr. Cube...at DreamCon? Dastardly!

Check out Day 2!
