My Advice: Rent it.

Nick Gardenia (Chase) is a writer who is kidnapped by a group of bank robbers who force him to rob a bank. It just so happens that his ex-wife (Hawn) is a lawyer who is also married to the district attorney (Grodin), who also just happens to be running for Attorney General. Nice planning, huh? Since Nick is on the lamb, he runs to his ex-wife's house for her help, but he doesn't make it easy on her: he simply won't stay hidden.

Neil Simon really has a hard time trying to write a bad script. When you add a cast full of actors who have incredible comic timing, you really have the makings of a wonderful movie. Chase and Hawn are wonderful and they make a very believable old divorced couple. Chase uses his ability to pratfall every chance he gets, but he just makes it work every time--he's (or at least he used to be) just that good. Hawn plays the part of the defense attorney with the heart of gold perfectly, and does so without an ounce of the ditzy blonde character that she made herself known for. Grodin is as cynical as ever, and it works perfectly for the movie.

No features at all to speak of on this disc (apart from some trailers), which is a shame. I know I can't be the only one who thinks that getting Chase and Hawn into a screening room together to record a commentary track for this (or any of their movies, really) would be priceless. Throw in Grodin and Simon adding some bits here and there and you'd have a definite "own it" recommendation no matter what movie it was on. Well, assuming Simon and Grodin were in the movie. You know what I mean. Even one of those ten minute featurettes would be nice, but--bubkiss.

But that's why this one stays on the rental list. It's a really funny movie that should not be missed, but the lack of bonus material on the DVD is going to keep it off the purchase list.
