"He that reads and grows no wiser
seldom suspects his own deficiency,
but complains of hard words
and obscure sentences,
and asks why books are written
which cannot be understood."
                                     --Samuel Johnson, The Idler

Good day, class. I trust none of you have slept well? No matter.  Welcome to SDI's Literature Lab, where we stay up late to discover what you should be reading to prepare you for the coming revolution.

I am Dr. Ezra, SDI's resident literatologist and Minister of Ontological Anarchism, and Professor Emeritus of Obscure Literature at the University of Timbuktu. If you have questions about any of the books discussed here, or ravings about a book you feel should be discussed, please be sure and leave a note in my office.

Yes, I see we have some questions. You, there, with the lazy eye.  What is it? How are you supposed to get your grubby hands on these books? Well, I'm glad you asked. We here at SDI are a front end to Amazon.com, so there's plenty of places to click and get a chance to order these books. Another question? You, in the back row. What if our choices suck and you want to find a book on your own? First, remain where you are, and our snipers will be with you shortly. Second, if you feel qualified, use the search thingy below to find whatever you want at Amazon.com. Be our guest.

So, without further ado, let us begin. To your right you will find choices--but do not be afraid.  Explanations are below.  Peruse, cogitate, respond, froth, whatever makes you happy. Keep an eye out for upcoming discussions and additional lists as the days grow longer.
