Before Spike Jonze (and after the primary source material from Maurice Sendak, of course) and before the attempt to do it CG, there was the animated short. And it’s on DVD from Scholastic Storybook Treasures along with five other Sendak animated shorts. And while we’re waiting for the feature film to get here, why not enter this contest and get the original goodness? We’ve got three copies of the DVD slated for giveaway.
