32 Days of Halloween XI, Day 12: The Mad Monster!

At Disneyland, they shut the Haunted Mansion down for a while in order to transform it into a Haunted Mansion/Nightmare Before Christmas mashup. And each year, there is a bigass gingerbread house featured during the ride. First up, here’s a quick run-through of the houses up until last year. Warning: this video has jaunty music which could cause seizures in the over-caffeinated.

And all of that to make you better appreciate this other quick video, talking about what went into making this year’s house.

And now that we all want to eat a house, let’s distract ourselves by heading back to 1942 and The Mad Monster. It’s a cautionary tale: never turn your gardener into a wolfman. The wolfy dude in question is Glenn Strange, who would go on to play Frankenstein in many films. Enjoy!
