Okay, a romance is not something we would normally use for 32 Days of Halloween. But…I mean, you’ve got not only Tyrone Power (1940’s Mark of Zorro), Ann Blyth (Mildred Pierce), but Michael Rennie (yes, The Day The Earth Stood Still). You’ve got an atomic scientist–because this is a film in the 1950s and by law you have to have at least one, I think. And you’ve got time travel, along with fear of paradoxes. So it ticks all the sci-fi boxes, I think.

And if you’re confused about the title–bear in mind it is also known by the slightly more sinister The House in the Square. Or The Man of Two Worlds. Enjoy.
