32 Days of Halloween XIV: Day #20

Marathon of Fright,
outdated (and regrettable) costume tips, &
Summer of Fear!

And now first, a word from our sponsor.

Personally, I think that was more terrifying than pretty much anything we’ve ever posted over fourteen damn years of doing this. Speaking of terrifying, how about a short film from 1953 about improvising a Halloween costume? Bear in mind…this was 1953. There’s at least one costume in this that is a bad idea now and was a bad idea then. Just a headsup.

In between The Hills Have Eyes and Deadly Blessing, Wes Craven directed this TV movie, Summer of Fear aka Stranger in Our House. It stars Linda Blair, who did this project in between Exorcist II and…um, Roller Boogie. Enjoy.
