There comes a time when you realize there’s just too much pop culture crap to keep up with and you need to outsource things to somebody else. Welcome. Our rates are more than reasonable.

The Shadow by Edward D. Cartier

  • Edward D. Cartier, sci-fi artist and illustrator for The Shadow, died Christmas Day at his home. The Shadow’s Sanctum Blog does a better job of relating to you his life and work, so we’ll send you over there. Not sure how to get to a permalink of the article, so if you’re finding this long after I’ve written it, just be aware.
  • The current incarnation of The Grateful Dead, The Dead, will tour nineteen cities starting in April. Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann from the original lineup will be involved.
  • We also lost Pat Hingle, perhaps best known for playing Commissioner Gordon in the Burton/Schumacher Batman franchise. He died at home this past Saturday at age 84.

    • I liked Pat’s work in Grifters. You never look at a bag of oranges the same way again.
